Shop and Swap 4 Baby is a place to "swap" your gently worn baby and children's clothing and accessories. Sign up as a member and gain store credits for 50% of the established purchase price of your item/s in exchange for items in the shop. Or if you would prefer cash instead of credit we will pay you via direct deposit 25% of the established purchase price for your items.

You send us your kids' outgrown, gently worn or new items and we will give you credit to purchase new and gently used items from our shop. Credit does not have to be taken immediately, you can use it within twelve months.

$20 for twelve month’s membership. This small membership fee is quickly recovered from the heavily discounted clothing prices.

1. To begin swapping, please take a moment and first register as a member. Swapping privileges are only available to registered members. After you register you will receive a confirmation e-mail of your membership with Shop & Swap 4 Baby and will then be ready to swap.

2. Once you have posted in your items, or if you live locally you can arrange to drop items off at our street address in Albert Park, and your items have been accepted for sale, an amount will be credited to your account. (see our attached pricing list as a guide to the minimum amount you can expect to receive). You will receive an email within 5 business days notifying you of your credit balance.

3. Membership is valid for one year from the date of registering and your credit balance will remain in your account as long as the account is current. Unused credit may be carried over upon renewal of annual membership however if your membership expires, any unused credit will be forfeited.

4. Once you have your membership established you may sign in at the returning members section and begin shopping/swapping. Your registered email name and chosen password are all that you will need to login. Your total credit balance will appear once you have signed in. Members must use partial credit points(50%) and partial cash/credit card (50%) towards each purchase.

5. Credit can only be applied towards shop merchandise. Credit cannot be applied towards postage charges or membership renewal.

3. If you decide you would prefer to take a cash payment, the amount paid to you will be 25% of the total sale price for your items (50% less than the credit amount applied). Please contact us via the "contact us" link to convert your credit amount to cash.

4. Once we have received your request, your cash payment will be made within 48 hours via direct bank deposit. Please also include your bank details in your email so we can process your payment as quickly as possible.

Our goal is to provide only quality clothing. Clothing must be in excellent to great condition, freshly washed, gently pressed and of current style up to size 4. We do not accept clothing with rips, stains, pilling, or fading, that have missing buttons or that are scuffed.
We swap only for brand name clothing as quality is important to us, eg Pumpkin Patch, Country Road, Seed, Next, Baby Gap, Osh Kosh, Monsoon, George, H&M, Jasper Conran, Oilily, Petit Bateau, Catimini, Absorba, Old Navy, Gymboree and Carters are a majority of the brands we stock.
Any items that are unaccepted will not be returned (unless you pay the postage costs) and will be donated to Charity.
It is worthwhile contacting us first if you are unsure about your items or have a question about your items before posting them. We happily accept photos to assist you with your enquiry.

• Items with stains/pilling or wash fade
• Items over three years old
• No-name brand items
• Large toys, furniture and baby equipment
• Soft toys

Please remember that items that you post to us that we cannot use in our shop will either be posted back to you at your cost or can be donated to local charity.

It is at our discretion to buy or not buy from you when the items are received and your credit will be credited directly to your account at 50% off the sale price for your sold item.

Please see our price list as a guide only of our pricing. We try to stick to these prices to make it easier for everyone (and they are great prices!) however if an item is brand new or a high end designer item it may end up being priced a little higher. In this case if you have swapped with us you will be given 50% credit of the sale price. (you will never receive less than 50% of the prices on our price list!)
